It feels good talking about this successfully indiegogo funded project THE DAMNED! That means Storyhive had no hands in this, no bullshit voting period, no pitch asking for $100,000! THE DAMNED is ready for the audience and I'm ready to deliver. The idea came to my head when I purchased the comic in 2009. It was a simple stroll to the local comic shop Happy Harbor Comic's, and the graphic novel The Damned: Three Days Dead blessed me with an amazing story that need the silver screen treatment. Sure the haters doubted me, but I consider that fuel for the fire.
2013 was my first attempt to make it a short film, so I can shoot the pitch for the indiegogo campaign. During that time I decided I would make a fan film about Nightmare on Elm Street. 2013 ended up being a busy year, but I not only completed a fully half hour horror film, I shot a 2min trailer for THE DAMNED. Thank goodness it paid off both ways and it was an instrumental part in completing the film.
Teaming up with Alpacalypse productions, local make up artists and lotions scouts added to the real world experience of THE DAMNED. My next step is to get all six episodes completed and screened at the Edmonton Expo for the masses. So stay tuned and check out the trailer.
