The Beginning Of A Nightmare

Here is trailer 2 of THE BEGINNING OF A NIGHTMARE. This trailer was shot and edited by Arthur Mah, it has all the elements of THE SPRINGWOOD SLASHER. With the postproduction of the film coming to a close I'm really excited for trailer 3. There is also another production making a Freddy fan film and it looks good. My film is completely different because it talks about Freddy's mother and the time she was at the Springwood hospital. I will be posting behind the scene pics later but for now enjoy this trailer and be on the look out for trailer 3.

Man Bites Dog

I remember watching this exciting film about 6 years ago, and I was blown away by the hilarious social satire. Man Bites Dog is a film that is ahead of it's time. Released in 1992 and shot on black and white 35mm film, it features a film crew following a serial killer around as he murders numerous victims. This film has elements of violence, horror and comedy.  It  socially comments on societies fascination with the lives of  serial killers and it predates reality TV. The 90's was an interesting time, books, movies and music were at a subversive nature as the 20th century was coming to a close. Man bites dog and books such as American Psycho told the truth about our daily lives that it's boring and escapism into the dark side was more fun, in a way that was suitable for this culturally explosive decade. With events that followed such as; O J Simpson trial, Tanya Harding etc.. We as a society were
glued to the TV screens drooling over the controversy and scandals that followed the celeb or high profile subject. The reason I'm posting this on my blog is that this film is one of my inspirations for my new up and coming film INFAMOUS. With social media and camera phones documenting our  moves it makes Man bites dog  so relevant to our time (2014)it's uncanny.  The 90's was a time that shaped who we are now in the 21st century were privacy and public life is now a blur and being famous for the wrong reason is now considered a social norm.

SLASHER TREATMENT ROUGH DRAFT

In the distant future sensationalized violence will be the common form of high art and entertainment.
INFAMOUS is new and original film directed by David.N.O.  Written by David.N.O & Mohammad Elber. The concept of INFAMOUS is a mixture of horror, satire and spatter fest action.
The film takes place in a alternate futuristic time line where the main character RICHARD BOLEMAN (a war veteran)  is a world famous mega SUPERSTAR in the gladiator televised show, SLASHER where killers stalk, prey and murder their victims using a P.O.V cam that is equipped in their high tech masks. The viewers can interactively participate in voting on ways victims should die and experience the murders as they watch from the comfort of their own homes.

Each killer has a mask that is suited to their liking. Some masks can hack into other security cameras
while other recording devices give multiple angles that enhances the viewers to watch, the more viewership the SLASHER gets the more perks he gets. Each masks come equip with night vision, heat vision etc. Some SLASHERS can get genetically enhanced DNA that can aide them on their kills after winning some of their matches.

Each SLASHER has a crew behind the scenes such as; costume designer, combat trainer and publicist. In Richard Boleman's case some of the behind the scene people are his close friends.  Film is also a common theme in SLASHER especially snuff film and Richard is a gifted auteur. His kills and technique is uncanny, this is one of the reasons he is a super star killer that society praises.
The society is run by a dictatorship that uses fear, propaganda and lies to control it's people.
Rebels who fight against the oppression are considered terrorist and are brainwashed by the
government and RICHARD BOLEMAN gets caught in the middle. With his unique abilities
RICHARD hacks and slash his way to through truth, fame and identity in an all out blood bath
of SLASHER.
